Random mob drops and feeding unwanted items to your pets. I know I've gotten Brass both ways but honestly I couldn't tell you which mobs dropped it. If I had to guess I'd say the Loremaster and the Jade Oni.
Anywhere that drops items. You defeat some monsters and they drop some items, you take the dropped items and you feed them to your pet and every so often you get a brass.
