Forest Lord spell quest has prequests. And you see Moolinda Woo first.
To get the pet, there's this from Wizard101Central: Well, first of all (just to clarify on things) - You don't get the Forest Lord pet with the Forest Lord Spell - You have to be at least level 55 (or above) and finished the Su Su Sudrilund Quest - Talk to your professor who will send you to get the pet

You need to complete Grizzlehiem, enter Wintertusk, follow at least the main story line quests until the last area when Mother Raven gives you the quest Northern Exposure, turn that in and go see you teacher for the pet quest battle.
There are basically 2 reasons why this happened. You must have completed the last pet quest which is the : satyr (for life people) before you can get the forest lord pet. Another reason is because you need to get to a certain point in GH (I would try to be at WT just in case). Hope you know what happened!
