somehow when i tried to port to a friend i ported to a starnger how did this happen?
I would guess that either your friend moved as you were telporting to him/her, or the game glitched in some way. If it doesn't happen again, don't worry about it. If it happens over and over, especially if you port to the SAME stranger each time, then something is amiss, and you'll need to get in touch with Support.
