Thanks for bringing this up. I recently had to change my desktop (Ikr who has a desktop these days?:P) monitor and after the switch to a widescreen I get the same "pause" after casting to spell that you're talking about. It constantly looks like I'm about to be d/c booted.
I too have noticed this pause lately. For me, there have been no changes to my computer or internet connection. Its so brief, but enough for me to notice. Glad to know I'm not the only one.
i play on a windows 7 laptop and it has never had this issue before so plz kingsisle if this is a bug can you fix it this has been going ever since your last maintenance sorry
It has happened to me also.I've been playing on my life character who doesn't have piercing damage (for those saying it was piercing was the problem) I cast a blade than for a brief second it stops HAS anyone else experienced this

Same things has been happening to my Storm wiz lately- every time she fizzles, there's a 5-10 second lag between the cast and the text/anim.
I'm on a laptop, but it's brand-new and I've never changed the settings; nothing is wrong with my interwebz, either~ hopefully, KI will fix it soon. :)
