Cannot get Tree of Life Oyster after defeating oni

After defeating the Death Oni and returning to the main dungeon, the oyster won't be there.

(Workaround: restart the dungeon.)

Is this intentional?

The oyster by the tree of life is in the courtyard close to the wall (where the 2 wraiths are). It isn't in the dungeon. It's really hard to see - just hug the wall and you will stumble upon it.

No, I mean the oyster doesn't appear at all in the restored version of the Tree of Life.

But that might just be myself.
