I'm in the character selection screen, and I'm trying to play and it says it's verifying my character, but a few moments later, it says it can't connect. It really annoys me, and I hope it will be fixed soon. I also don't understand why I can't switch servers in the character selection screen, but only after I start to play. Thanks.
The server switch isn't an option at the character selection screen. I don't know why they have it that way, but that's how it is.
The connection problem is probably due to Wizard101 being busy. The combination of the pet update, Selena Gomez quest, and Halloween has brought players out of the woodwork. If you're trying to log on during "prime time", that makes it worse.
One suggestion is to always switch to a "Quiet" server before you log off, preferably one towards the end of the alphabet. That might help you when you log back on again later.
