So my friend and I were battling Ygor and I got beguiled the turn he hit. I died, but the boss didn't. I fled because he didn't have a heal up, but there was no Recall to Dungeon button available to me.
I think this is a bug, if the boss is still alive I should be able to recall to dungeon to get credit for the quest. Especially in instances where beguile is a factor, and your buddy might accidentally your face
