I noticed that when you discard and the time runs out it steals the discarded card, instead of giving it back and the player is left with less cards and no treasure card.

Are you talking about that battle or forever? Any discarded card in battle is not returned to the player for that duel.
Its just for a battle. I know there is reshuffle. This is kind of operator error, because there is a time limit. But, a player shouldn't be left with no card in its place. The game should either give the card back,or automatically note a discard and give a treasure card.
