Double pet xp doesnt apply to Grub Guardian?

Hello everyone!

I logged on today to see that double pet xp was active. I love these kind of bonuses, so when I had Grub Guardian to play to train my pet, I thought this was perfect. Turns out that Grub Guardian does NOT work with double xp. Is this a bug or as intended?

I think it's more a matter of GG not being up to date with game changes. It doesn't allow snacks for training pets above Mega either.
