The Armor of Pure Ice recipe specifies Basic Crafting Station. However, after collecting all of the ingredients and trying to create it on the basic crafting station, the station's create button was greyed out and it stated "You can't create that here". After a little bewilderment, I decided to try to do so on the Equipment Crafting Station. It allowed me to do that there.
