If you had a membership back then, and it expired, that might have changed the total amount of items alllowed in your backpack, etc. You might want to send an e-mail to support@wizard101.com and ask them to help you find the missing items.
Be sure to give them your UserName that you use to log in to the game (but NOT your password), and the name and Level of the Wizard who lost the items. That way they can help you faster.
