Need help with the chat ( relative newbie)

Hello... well, this is a simple thing that I should know how to do, but I have no idea. I can't get the typed chat to work. This probably gets asked alot and I'm sorry, but I just got a membership and have always assumed that I couldn't use it before because of not being one.

I would appreciate some help, thnx.

Chat privileges cannot be unlocked with a prepaid card.
Anyone of any age can purchase a prepaid card, therefore they cannot be used to authenticate age.
If you wish to enable chat privileges, you must make a Wizard101 purchase with a valid credit card.

Professor, can't you use text chat without buying anything? I used to be a none-member and my parent turned it on for me

If you got a membership from credit card, here are the insctructions:
Log in
Go to My Accounts
Log into/create parental controls(Make sure your parents make it!!!)
Scroll down and look for some chat options
Go to Text Chat/Filtered Chat
Click Enable far down to the right
Click Save, and success! But remember, ask your parents first.
