I've been with my friend in the vault of ice in Krotopia today. I teleported to her when she was in a battle. And when I go to defeater or something of fang,it takes me to the mummies in the hallway.

The vault of ice quest arrow will never point anywhere but to the final battle. It's not a glitch. You have to learn how to do the vault; defeat the 3 "keepers" first then on to the last.
