Quick Selling Treasure Cards ate the cards and gave no gold?

I was just in the Commons on the bridge toward the Pet Pavilion.

My Life character was quick-selling 114 treasure cards (I think the number was)

Maybe I'm crazy - but I believe I had 50,000 ish gold before the sell

and the interface said the cards I was selling would be 94,000 or so

That's well over 100,000 together, yet my character now has 49,375 gold -- and the treasure cards are gone.
