i was questing with my archmage (level 84) theurgist in azteca when something caught my attention~ her 13% accuracy boost is incorrectly listed as 12%.

(obviously not game-breaking, since 100% in ki math is actually 99.999999%. but it still doesn't add up).

my pet has sharp shot and life shot at 5% each, which is 10%, plus 3% from her avalon crafted boots... for a total of 13%. so why does it show as 12% in her stats?

i've had pets with sharp shot and school-specific accuracy talents before, so i'm no stranger to those. but this is my first time seeing numbers not adding up to what they should~ is this a bug, or am i missing something?

if your pet accuracy boosts are actually 4.6% (in the math that goes into them), and the boots give you 3% boost, the figures you are seeing are all correct.

The pet boosts are made by a formula involving your pets intellect, agility, and power attributes, but they are rounded in the game display. So anything over 4.49% is displayed as 5%... but when they are all added up the rounding is done afterwards.

It's funny that you make this point. I can almost swear that I've had a wand hit fizzle on me even with no weaknesses and what would, on paper, appear to be a more than 100% chance of accuracy. I've mentioned this to people before and they always argue that there must have been some sort of negative charm on me that I wasn't aware of but I'm more inclined to believe what you're saying. There really is no such thing as a 100% chance. The odds of a failure may be infinitesimal but, like Lloyd Christmas said "So you're telling me there's a chance".

interesting~ i knew that only a perfect 250 pet has a true10% proof, though i had no idea that was the case for other talents as well. thanks valerian :)

@tucsonwizard, i've also fizzled with 100% accuracy (no mantle or smokescreen) and not fizzled with one or both on me. #kilogic #winning
