I haven't been questing much lately so I don't know if it is happening much elsewhere. But going in to my dorm to use my porters to my houses. I just get the poof and stay there. I have to go outside and back in maybe a few times or change wizards for it to let me go through. Also don't know if this is related but I have gone out the door at the red barn and I know the plants should have needs or be ready to harvest but show good or not ready. Go back in then outside and needs are there or ready to harvest. Like the game doesn't see what I am doing.
This happens to me at least once every 10 days. I use teleporters to get from house to house, and it's not uncommon to have them malfunction in the way you described. Logging out and back in usually solves it for me, but I'd rather it never happened to begin with.
