I had elemental blades up and cast a hydra against an ice foe. With the blade and the foe's boost, the first hydra head (fire) finished off the foe, which curled up and disappeared. The hydra also disappeared, and I thought that was the end of the turn, but then the ice and storm blades from my elemental trio both got used up on nothing! I expect hydra to take them all if all the heads attack, but since the last two weren't needed, I wanted the leftovers for a spectral blast on the remaining foe! Rude hydra! Don't keep eating after you have left the table!
