WARNING: Game Sniping, Exploits, and Targeted Harassment

Wizards,

Game sniping of any kind is targeted harassment and against the Terms of Use and Community Code of Conduct.

A quick refresher of the two main types of actions we’ve been seeing:

Queue Sniping = Recognizing player information in the PvP queue and matching or queue dodging in such a way to target that player in order to gain an unfair advantage

Stream Sniping = When a player watches another player’s stream to abuse that player or to cheat in some other way

It’s been rumored that over the past few weeks we mass-banned players suspected of both queue and stream sniping (these are separate issues from the fraud concerns). This is not the case. Any confirmed sniping will result in the sniper’s account being sanctioned, including those who are also confirmed to be knowingly aiding the sniper in the action.

USE OF EXPLOITS (Don't do it!)

A reminder that while we appreciate the competitive spirit that our new events and the recent acquisition of KingsIsle has brought out in the community, please remember that it is never ok to ruin another player’s fun—whether by taking advantage of exploits or just through unsportsmanlike behavior.

Using exploits to knowingly hack your movement speed, move through walls and gates, enter combat with stats or spells that are forbidden, etc., violate our Terms of Service and can result in action against your account, including the possibility of a permanent ban.

If you see the use of any exploits, in Beastmoon, Deckathalons, or anywhere else in our games, please send a report to Customer Support (include a screenshot if you can). If you see talk of them outside of the game, please let us know too.

If you experience abusive behavior and other extremely negative actions by players that go against our rules and guidelines, especially where the actions may endanger underage players, please use the report tools in-game. Each of those reports goes directly to our team to follow up.

We will never take action on an account without confirming such an action is in violation of community rules, but we want to ensure fair play in the Spiral and will take action to do so if necessary. If you are concerned you may have unintentionally ran across an exploit, please also contact Customer Support and they will be happy to answer any questions you may have.

PLAYER REPORTS

Player reports (in-game or elsewhere in the community) will never result in automatic action against the reported player. We carefully evaluate each report and only act when we’ve completed our own investigation.

We’re also concerned about players falsely reporting others. Intentional false reports of any kind will not be tolerated. If you are false reporting, sanctions include removing from all your accounts the ability to report players.

Never be afraid of reporting an honest concern. And please do contact customer support if you have any concerns about actions taken on your own account.

Thanks, Wizards!

The KingsIsle Team
