I have always wondered about why there are two portals flanking Moros, as we only use one of them in the story. I recently watched an episode of The Legends of Korra and remembered that Vaatu, The Spirit of Darkness, was imprisoned in a tree inbetween the two portals to the mortal world by the first Avatar, Wan. Does Moros' two portals pay homage to Avatar or am I just seeing something that isn't there?
