I just tried to gift an energy elixir to a friend and they are no longer in the crowns shop. What's the deal with that? You can gift just about any other kind of elixir. Makes no sense.

In case no one has answered your question in-game, it's because the usable check mark is marked in your store, meaning if you have full energy it won't show up.
