Spell Damage Calculations

This post is sololy to explain the theory of calculating a spell's damage.

Now then a spell's damage is affected by multiple things, these factors are:
1. School
2. Enemy Hit
3. Type of damage
4. Secondary Effects

1. For schools here are the basic standards:
Fire-80-120 DOT-90-130
Ice-65-105
Storm-105-145
Myth-70-110
Life-65-105
Death-65-105 Drains-80-90
Balance-65-105

2. A single hit spell will always be stronger than a AOE, as such a normal hit will follow the rules of damage standards, however a AOE will be much weaker, depending on rank of spell, this is how much it will decrease, usually the average decrease is around 100.

3. type means either if it's a special type of attack, such as DOT or a drain, drains are much weaker than a normal attack, Averaging 80-90 as seen above, Dot are actually much stronger, increasing an attack by 10 multiplied by rank.

4. Secondary effects will always lower a spell's power, if you have noticed when a spell has a effect on it, this takes some of the spell's power to make space for that effect.

So I hope that this post helped some of you understand more about spells if you did not already know. Just think what sirens and dr. von's monster, basilisk, gnomes, and even spells like storm lord and frost giant could ahve been if they didn't have any of these factors and were pure damage.
