Am I calculating damage right?

Hi,

Wish to know if I'm calculating correctly (assuming no equipment that boost stats, etc).

A balance spell deals 400 damage and there's a 50% shield then 400 - 50%, 200 damage
Same spell with Infallible (+15% Piercing) then, 400 - 35%, 260 damage
Same spell with Punishment (25% Damage), 400 +25% - 50%, 250 damage

In this case using Infallible deals more damage than Punishment.

Am I right?

Seems legit.
I think I'll test it out later.
I usually wand to dispose of tower shield prior attacking.
