What factors really matter determining what you get from a battle? I'm thinking of: experience points, gold, equipment drops, "collecting" items for quests
Most damage dealt? Most damage taken? Highest ranked spells used? Number of turns taken to finish the battle?
For example, my ice wizard generally plays with my husband's fire wizard it seems to make sense to set traps, blades and shields during PvE to create massive meteor strikes and other fire spells while keeping us both alive, but does that mean my wizard will always get less credit?
If you blast a low level boss with 1,000 damage do you get more, less or the same?
