Best school combo?

I'm starting out a new wizard, and I was wondering if anyone has some good combos for schools.
I'm thinking of going with Storm/Life, but I'm not really sure atm....

Life and Death are the best secondary schools. You shouldn't go all the way though, just Life to Satyr or Death to Feint. Choose Death if you want damage, Life if you want healing. You can also get other schools, but that's not as efficient. Going Ice to Tower Shield is also a very viable choice.

I'd suggest Storm/Balance if you have a Balance Mastery Amulet. You can learn Balance's AoE hit at Level 16, earlier than any other school. Sandstorm ends nearly all your battles in one quick hit if you enchant it with Monstrous, Gargantuan, or Colossal cards, making questing go much smoother than with Storm's constant fizzles. Then, when you learn Tempest and have better accuracy, you can switch it up and use Balance treasure card heals.

Here are some of the combos I see most often (primary school symbol first, then secondary):

The best fix for accuracy is better gear/pet, not training off-school damage. It's a mistake to think in terms of "secondary school" Train for utility, not a whole class. What exactly you should get depends if you are doing mainly PvP or mostly questing.

If your primary is Storm I would for sure train life to sprite right away. If you can get a life mastery go to Satyr.

Train the elemental blade from Niles as soon as you can. The elemental trap is optional, but can be good.

For PvP train Weakness, Resuffle, and Ice up to Tower. You do not need those for questing, though some players like them even for PvE. I don't use them much and find it easy enough to get treasure cards, which are stronger anyway.

For questing, Death to Feint can be useful, though if you are hitting for a team it's better for someone else to Feint so you can use all your pips to attack. You can also get this as treasure, but you might use it enough to train it.

Some higher level Storms train some Fire spells for mutations like Storm Cat and Storm Elf. These are not needed but can come in handy.

When you get to Celestia get Strong and train all the Sun damage boosts all the way to Colossal. These are very important.

You may want some Star aura spells as well. Amplify, Fortify, Infallible, and Empowerment all have uses. Later you will definitely want Galvanic Field. Infallible is also a must-have if you are going to Pvp a lot.

I'm a Balance/Storm, and I'd prefer my combo over the Storm/Balance for pretty much one reason- health. I know that Ice and Life will always be numbers one and two (respectively), but Balance comes in third for health. If you'd like any advice from me- I'd say for power & health, Balance/Storm is best

Hope this helps!
