Boat Tent (Outdoor house item)

The other day I teleported to my friend who was fighting Krokopatra. When we beat her I recieved this house item called the Boat Tent. When I teleported to my house to try to place it somewhere, it would not let me place it. I tried in all the places that it would fit, but it still wouldn't work.

Can anyone tell me how to place it?

I have a storm house and got one of the tents. I put it to the right of the house. It worked there ok. Yes maybe you have a glitch.
