I have a question.. my son and I are both death school students. I am level 31 and he is level 12.. my question is, how is it that he has different quests than I did at his level? He has gotten 2 quests that I never received, he had to battle the Kraken and now he is in Crab Alley. I have battled the Kraken, but only because he told me how to get down there because he had been given the quest. He was playing last night when he ended up in Crab Alley.
Am I missing something or are quests random?

Sounds like you missed something. When you reach Level 12, you get one of those "pop-up" messages on the right side of your screen. For Crab Alley, you would have gotten a message from Sohomer Sunblade asking you to visit him. He sends you to Crab Alley. This link gives details on those quests, in case you need it:

And for defeating The Kraken, you need the quest "Riding The Storm", which leads you into the quest for The Kraken. This link gives details:

On that link, you can click on "prequest" to see what you probably missed.

Everybody gets the same quests for these two groups (Crab Alley and The Kraken). Hope this helps you find what you missed.

Thank you so much for your responses... now I know where I went wrong. I think at that time I was getting overwhemed with quests so I declined a few here and there. My son declines nothing (neither do I anymore), so that would explain the differences.
