Hi! My pet recently got a "maycast deathblade" talent. Does this mean the deathblade that my pet casts will stack with my own deathblade that I cast on my own?

Yep, it sure does!
The trigger is usually any other successful damage spell, so to get the pet's blade up in time for you to use it, you might try hitting with a wand or other low pip spell during the first couple of rounds.
