I went through my friends list and some players are wooden puppets with no information on them and at level 0. Will someone please tell me why that is?.
They just need to be updated.
Usually when they come online and you click their name, it's immediately updated.
As to why it happens, I tend to see it happening post major game updates or when you're offline for a while.
This happens when you just downloaded Wizard101 back and you still have your friends, they will need to log on before they get updated.
This happens when you add friends, uninstall Wizard101, and reinstall it, you have no friend files so your friend will need to come back online before you can see what they are.
