If you're low-level:
  • Make sure you have trained Deer Knight or another AoE hit (Meteor Strike, Sandstorm, Humongofrog)
  • Have gear that boosts your damage
  • Carry only your AoE hits in your deck and nothing else.
  • Enchant your hit with Monstrous, Gargantuan, or Colossal sun spells

If you're mid-level:

  • Same as above, but carry a Deathblade, as well as Feint treasure card and a Death Prism treasure card in your side deck.
  • If you're using an off-school AoE, make sure you carry gear or a pet that gives you a blade boost.

If you're high-level:

  • Make sure you have gear that boosts your critical rating and your damage for Death school. Do not concern yourself with resistance or critical block. They will slow you down.
  • Make sure you have an extra pip from the special Khrysalis deck.
  • Carry two Deer Knights, two Scarecrows. If you have Call of Khrulhu, carry one of these. Carry Deathblade, Virulence, and Feint treasure cards in your side deck.
  • Do not carry triple blades, they just waste your time because they cost a pip and make you wait another round.

You'll get a useful one at Level 48 for Death. Otherwise, like I said, use another AoE hit if you don't have Deer Knight.

Actually triple blades are worth it if your in a group with other spiritual/elemental wizards and have the sharpen enchantment. Those +45% blades stack with regular Tri Spiritual so they can really boost up the damage.

Then you'll have to either make do with single hit spells unless you're level 48 or higher, in which case use Scarecrow and blades. Worked for me. Don't bother training AoEs from other schools, it's not worth the training points.

True, if you have a group. The OP said nothing about a group though. So, if you're soloing, triple blades are just a waste of your time and pips. There are plenty of other ways to boost damage that don't involve that loss.
