Level 50 Gear, Grandmaster

I leveled an ice wizard up to level 50 and from long ago I kept the last ice wizards clothes the malistaire robe and snowcrusher shoes and so forth, I never sold them. I notice changes in the clothes that perhaps game has made, for instance, my Grandmaster fizzes like he is a level 10 wizard, where long ago fizzing was not very bad at Grandmaster level. I notice the Damage in the Grandmaster clothing has changed as well. What I am getting at is this, the Grandmaster clothing is no better than the clothing you can buy anywhere else, so why not remove the NO Auction and sell them at Bazzar . I mean it is evident these clothes that use to be the most valued in game has fallen to almost trash level. No accuracy, no damage, pips still come in white, Not the Grandmaster I saw years ago.
I am sort of disappointed with this because it removed one of the challenges of the game, Reaching Grandmaster to get the better clothes. My mind ask me now, where is the better clothing since the Malistaire and snowcrusher items are no longer good. I am afraid to take my level 50 wizard to Unicorn way he might get killed. Maybe not that bad but he certainly can not go and do quests without worry of constant fizz and low pips. I guess I will sell my Malistaire and snowcrusher items since they are no longer what they use to be.

You asked what to put on now, I suggest the celestia vendors gear until level 60, and then do waterworks until you get the hood and and the robe. For the shoes, you are going to want to get the winter tusk shoes, or crown shop shoes. Good luck.

There's a few pieces of Celestia dropped gear that is good for Ice, including the Celestia Snow Boots.

The vendors in Wintertusk sell some okay gear for level 50.

If you craft at all, I would suggest crafting the Wintertusk L56 gear for Ice. It's excellent to use for quite a ways into the game. When you get some Waterworks gear, the resistance is better, but for the most part, Wintertusk is better because of the extra blades and traps.

I used a couple pieces of the Waterworks gear and Wintertusk until I could craft one or two pieces of the L66 Zafaria gear. You can also get the Shango Ice Blade amulet there as well.

The best Ice gear will be the crafted Avalon gear, along with the Courtly Dirk athame.

Good luck!
