Yes you can use the ninja pigs spell even if you are not myth, but it will cost you five pips (counting power pips as one, not two, unless you have they myth mastery amulet).
And no there is no place to farm for the Deer Knight spell. This one is obtained from either a pack (Knights) or by crafting. Start saving Amber now.
