Forum ranks are based off how many posts you've made. They mean nothing really. The titles for each rank changes fairly often. A few times a year, sometimes related to an event or release, other times for holidays, others for no apparent reason. They only indicate how often a user has posted/how active they are in the forums. Aside from staff ranks they have no power or ability any different than a first time member.
