The Lost Pages

While the Lost Pages mini-quest line was nice, I didn't really see the point of it, other than the fact it was just a side grind.

Wasn't too impressed with the loot drops. Nothing School based for my wizard , a few gardening drops, and a little bit of gold.

Do the drops get better at the higher levels? or is it just something to take one's mind off the main quests for a little while?
