every time my wizard was given a school spell he never had to spend training points for it. I notice the game has changed this as in AZT world all the spells cost a training point. I now understand why in my mind I never took on these spells because inside I guess I felt they should be free to your school. Like the witch in colossus Blvd. with the spells there. I have not reached storm Owl yet but I am wondering if I will have to spend a training point to get the spell. because in AZT it is an obelisk, makes no difference it is a school spell. Now if it is sun school or moon school, then we need sun wizards and moon wizards maybe the spells would be free. Plus to have a wizard with same spells we use and call it by another school it is just insane. if he uses tempest then he is storm, not a school like sun or moon. I just wanted game to know, I don't spend training points for my school spells, I just do without. I have lots of training points as I do not carry a second school, amulets? try using a reshuffle and amulet, oops you need necklace for reshuffle, how you carry Balance amulet? Oh you need reshuffle in deck? and balance amulet on necklace?, lets see, a training point for reshuffle, then wear amulet, ok, might as well just use balance wizard. in the end it doesn't add up......
If you think it's worth a train point, then go for it. I know some people who skipped the lvl 10 spell quest because the spell just isn't worth the effort and train point, when a more versatile and cost-effective spell is already available to them. *coughavengingfossilcough*
I could see perhaps in the future a new spell might require you to go back and pick up the lvl 10 spell you skipped, but it should hopefully also give you new opportunities to gain train points.
Huh? My balance wizard did not have to use a training point for Sabertooth, she got it from completing the spell quest. It's not even available to other schools for training points.
As for the sun, star, and moon spells, those are out-of-school spells for everyone, and they cost training points for everyone. Reshuffle is a balance spell, free to balance wizards, one training point to everyone else. Nothing has changed.

At no time or level does training for your own school spell cost money.
Training ANY spell other than your own ALWAYS costs a training point. And there is no such thing as an Astral wizard...no student has Sun as their main school. none.
I think you're a bit confused at the school spells, secondary (etc) spells and such.

spells from your school of focus are free; astral spells are not from your school of focus, meaning that they cost a training point.
if you are storm, your storm owl will be free; spells after level 42 cannot be purchased with training points.

all mastery amulets allow you to do are use power pips with off-school spells. none of my wizards wear them, and all of them (on both accounts) have trained reshuffle~ only one is a balance wizard. if you don't wear the amulet, it just means that you need 4 regular OR power pips to cast reshuffle (vs the 2 power pips required for a balance wizard or someone wearing the amulet).
