Weird Reagent

I was farming Mirror Lake for some reagents and in the last battle when i finished with morganthe's spiders i got a reagent named Merle's Whisker any body who knows what its for let me know would appreciate it

I believe it's used in the transmute of Amber.. I think Ronster will have the answer for you.
