You have a special item there my friend. A Gold Skeleton Key will allow you to enter special rooms in Darkmoor and I'm sure there will be other places as well. Just like the Wooden and Stone keys allow entrance to areas in Mooshu, Krokotopia and Avalon. The Gold key room will either have a treasure chest to plunder or a room full of enemies to vanquish for their loot.
