I have just hit lvl 60 from completing Nastrond and I got to wondering, what gear set is better? That Traditional Waterworks gear or Myabe the new Zigazag Gear? Could really use some help figuring it out Thanks
All around best at that level (and well beyond) is Waterworks. You should check out ZZ and some of the others though, in case you want to trade off one thing (like resist) for more of something else (like damage).

either waterworks or wintertusk level 56 crafted is the best available at that level, though you can try mixing it with some of your drops from zigazag, depending on your play-style.
(in order to craft the gear, you must be a grandmaster artisan and have completed the quest 'su su sudrilund'; once you meet those two requirements, you can buy the recipes from carax strongthread)
i will say this: i have 4 wizards over level 60 (3 exalted and one transcendent), all of whom are still in waterworks gear or some combination thereof. needless to say, it has served me well for almost 40 levels.
