You can't train blades/traps until you get to the Krokosphinx in Krokotopia. You learn them with training points if you aren't Balance. Shields are only learned by Balance students or used from Treasure Cards or pets/items. Niles the Balance Tree teaches: lvl15 Elemental Trap lvl20 Spirit Trap lvl25 Elemental and Spirit Blades cost 1 training point each
You have to be level 25 to learn Elemental Blade. You can learn it at Niles the balance tree on the island of Krokosphinx. (At the boat on Krokotopia.) You can only learn Elemental shield as a Balance wizard, which you learn at around level 5. ~Dalla

You can get Elemental Blade & Elemental Trap from Niles in Krokotopia. He's the tree in krokosphinx, next to the balance school. I think you need to be level 25 to train them.
Elemental shield is a balance-only spell. They get it from "Enrollment" , the quest where you talk to all the teachers after completing unicorn way.

Elemental (and Spirit) traps and blades are trained beginning at level 15 by Niles on the Krokosphinx. Any balance shields are school only and can only be purchased as treasure cards.
