A way to remove jewels without destroying them has been suggested time and time again. Why not add a new mechanic, table, equipment & timer for it? Basically; a Carving Crafting Table can be obtained from Katherine Whateverhernameis at level 30 (going in 15s). Place this in your home, use it and see a screen pop up. This will have three sections on screen, the first is the name of the Athame, Amulet, Ring, Pet or Deck you wish to remove the jewel from. The second is where you choose the name of the jewel to carve. And the third is where you use your knife. Now knives come in the same levels & names as wrenches; but drop from most bosses. The Adept Carving Knife could remove jewels from Adept Wrench-level items. Then, voila! You must wait 24 (12 if Member) hours for this slot to cool down, you start with 1 slot, at level 80 you get a second, and these add one every 50 levels.
