I cannot believe that KI is making me write this here when I sent in an obvious bug report. First they told me they could not fix anything in "test." I wasn't writing about Test, I was writing about the Live game. Now, they've told me to put this here. This is INSANE!
Wizard101 now has numerous cards (mostly from crown packs) which are SCHOOL SPECIFIC. They are only useful to Wizards of that particular school - otherwise they are garbage.
These are good cards with powerful spells, global spells, etc. But a Fire spell is not going to help Storm. Storm is not going to help Ice, etc.
These cards cannot be auctioned. THAT I understand and have no problem with it. But they also CANNOT BE TRADED to a Wizard who can actually use them. The only thing we can do with them at the moment is trash them. That is RIDICULOUS!
I am talking about cards like: Age of Reckoning (as an example of a global spell), a wide variety of Minion cards, many Spell Cards. My Wizards cannot use them! They MUST be able to be traded to a Wizard who CAN use them.
This is not rocket science! KI has made an error. Just FIX IT.
Re: Make the new cards trade-able! They are useless!
Your frustration and anger is very apparent in your post, and considering these are items you got by spending money I suppose you're entitled to feel as though a large portion of that money has virtually gone to waste, since you can't make use of what you've purchased, and to make matters worse you can't even be the generous sort with what you've reaped.
I know these packs are something of a gamble, but every item should at least have some worth even if it isn't a jackpot, if not to you than to a lucky friend or passing stranger who looks like he or she could use a leg up.
Trading for something you could actually use doesn't sound unreasonable either.
This reminds me of the most recent post on The Friendly Necromancer's blog, which funnily enough is about treasure cards you can't auction off.
I do believe this needs attention, though really all I could do is reiterate what you've already said, albeit in a more polite and reserved manner.
As someone who has been prone to become quite the monster on internet forums when upset in the past, even to the point where I was permabanned (some cases fair, most not) I have no right to judge.
I've just found with experience people pay more attention and are more willing to work with you when you're careful how you word things and how much negativity you let paint every letter.
It's fascinating how some of us can put our attitude, our tone, on paper.
Mistakes and oversights are inevitable, and it's very easy to feel as though your complaints are falling on deaf ears, but I have confidence that in due time they will improve things as best they can, and reasonable requests such as this one will be heeded.
They have this message board set up for the sole purpose of keeping in touch with the community and seeing how the game can be improved. It seems readily apparent that they care about your feedback, enough to give you a forum on which to please your case.
Just don't expect change to happen immediately or overnight though.

Ack, it won't let me edit it. I feel I was overly repetitive and was gonna condense this a bit, and I accidently typed please instead of plead...meh. I think the message got across well enough...

Thank you! Suzanne
I completely agree. All the minion cards in the new pack are no trade, and I just wound up deleting them. There are lots of cards like that in the game, and I don't understand why any of them are no trade. This is, after all, a trading card game. And thus all cards should be tradeable.
Maybe not USEABLE till a certain level, but they should be tradeable. All of them.
