Merle won't speak to me

Hi on my storm wizard I was talking to a friend and I went to "Lets..." and it said "talk to Merle Ambrose. So, I went to him and he didn't say anything. Is it a glitch or something?

Do you mean that you selected that option from the Menu Chat pull-down menu ("Let's talk to Merle Ambrose") when you were chatting with your friend?

You would use that to ask your friend to follow you while you work on a quest that you already have.

It doesn't mean that Merle has something for you.
