Yes it is there but you need a key aswell. Headmaster will give you a key to go in. Although if you dont have the key but have the quest [Is that even possible?] you will need to do the quest.

To get to Nightside, you need to defeat foulgaze which is in olde town which is in sapphyras tower. You need to get the quest before you can go in sapphyras tower. You will get the quest after you have completed all quests but briskbreeze tower.
Heres a chart of how to get to nightside: Colossus Boulevard:complete all quests but briskbreeze tower Triton Avenue,Cyclops Lane, Firecat Alley, Haunted Cave, Dark Cave, Unicorn Way:complete all quests, When you defeat foulgaze you find a skeleton key and a journal take it back to ambrose, and go to the waterfall and then you can get into nightside. Then you explore nightside, and then go back to ambrose then you can come back anytime. Then as an award, he'll give you the spiral key to go to krokotopia.
