Storm Trap Talent

What activates the Storm Trap Talent? It says may cast Storm Ward but I'm guessing that's a trap. I'm just relly confused with this Talent can you explain what activates it? like Snow Aura activates when you get hit with an Ice attack Your pet casts and Ice shield on you. What activates Storm Trap talent?

It's a random event. It's also an actual ward.

I've got a storm cat that may cast storm wards. Every so often, it will do a little dance at the beginning of my wizard's turn, and create a storm ward.

I got the same problem with my Epic Stormzilla. It's never set it off. EVER!
