Don't feel alone, this happens to me sometimes. Many assume it to be the game server's connection being bad causing monsters to lead astray from their area of path. I am not sure if Kingsisle knows about this bug yet but I wouldn't think its fixable. Next time it happens, try to just log out and back in or switching realms so they don't catch you.
