I have to say as a player who solos A LOT i love my minion. Of course i will work with other players if i need help or they need my help. My big issue is that when i summon and a forth player jumps into the fight. I have had this happen to me a few times and i lose three pips (give or take a power pip.) All i ask is that they should cancel the summon of the minion like how a player cancels a spell to a target if it was defeated.
