I have to say that the stitching option is one of my favorite things. Some of the gear looks just plain ugly or weird. But for 100 crowns per item, you can stitch whatever look you like.
My absolute favorite thing about Wizard101 is the turn-based combat system! When I was a new player, and I discovered that this was how combat would play out, I was HOOKED.
(brings me back to my childhood, playing final fantasy on snes... *sigh)
Also, the cinematic animations are amazing All-in-all, this game truly is a marvel of programming skill.
