I got mine as a reward when I took part in a M4H event. I hadn't heard of them before either but apparently they are common.

There is no other way to get this, and Beckett only offered it for a limited time.It only deal 70 damage so even though it looks cool, it's not super powerful
The fansites, which can be found here www.wizard101.com/game/community/fansites will sometimes give away codes for Beckett wands. Just keep checking those. Sometimes Prof. Grayrose will post links to a fansite's giveaway on Facebook.
