Hey everyone! I do not know if this has already been addressed, but I searched around and couldn't find a topic!
I have been playing the game since 2009 for starters. I quit after Avalon came, and here I am on a new account a year later. Anyways, I noticed that even before I cast a spell, it wastes mana. I understand fizzling, but sometimes I don't even cast it because the boss has been killed. I am still a low level wizard on this account, so it is a larger problem to me than a high level wizard.
If I have somehow skipped anything related to this, then I am severely sorry!

Once you pick a spell the mana needed for that spell is automatically removed from your mana, fizzle or not it's gone. As you level your wizard gear will allow you to off set the larger spells and you should be able to get enough mana for this to be less of an issue.
My fire wizard for instance has 505 mana just entering Avalon, more then enough to carry me though an area usually.
If you play your cards right (bad pun intended), you should never run out of mana.
I guess it's because I have so many high-level wizards that I can easily apply the same basic strategy to my noobs: it involves lots of 0-pip spells: blades, stun blocks, and one massive hit-all spell. I don't carry shields, traps, or heals for mob fights; and, because my first wizard was balance/the only school without a functional bubble, i don't bother with them for other schools, either.
