I know there have been many threads about this type of thing. I was thinking about the ones that can be used by anybody and don’t cost much. Personally, I think that Stun Block is THE most useful spell, by a landslide. Let's look at the spell:
Pros: 1) costs 1 training point 2) is a 0 pip spell 3) gives you 2 protections per spell 4) works on spells from 4 different schools (Fire, Ice, Myth, Storm) 5) useful in all aspects of the game.
Cons: none
What other spells is this cheap and this useful at the same time?
Easily obtainable as a Treasure Card (unless your storm then you get it free) Cost 0 pips. removes weaknesses, dispels, and infections. Very useful in both PvP and PvE
dragonblade pros works for every school comes on pets most time 0 pips stacks with your blades and epic for storm lol cons its a lot better then stun block :P
Not saying this spell is cheap but to me Lord of Winter is my most useful spell, not only does it do allot of damage for an ice wizard, but it also makes the target loose 3 pips which are most likely power pips. It's like a free mana burn with my attack. This is only my opinion though.
I would say in pvp (even though it is not that cheap) earthquake. pros: gets rid of shields for other schools and blades. if you are fighting someone who stacks up on blades then hits, there will be some ragequitting. cons: I can't think of any right now
