I am sorry if this is not the right area for this post but I have a question. If the max number of pips you can have is 7,why are there 8 pip treasure cards? My level 43 Necro/Life wizard can buy them but I cannot use them. Am I missing something here,my apologies if I am. If this is truly the case,could you please remedy this by adding another pip to our wizards so the max is 8 or lower the cards to 7's? Just my opinion.

Those treasure cards can be used by a wizard belonging to that school, just not anyone outside the school because they will have their power pips to 'make up' the extra pip.
you might notice the availability of 9-pip spells too. these will only be able to be usable by players of that school or ones with mastery amulets (with power pips).

Out of your school spells that are 8 pips will always be out of your use unless you get a master amulet for that school. A bit confusing I know.
In school 8 pip spells will be able to be used by you as your chance of getting Power Pips gets better, yellow pips count as 2 for all your regular school pips. In other words as your level and you get better gear to increase your power pip chances you will be able to use those 8 pip spells.

If the treasure cards you are referring to are not your own school, then you need to use a mastery amulet to use them. Mastery Amulets of the 8 pip treasure card you are wanting to cast will let you use those treasure cards.
